Our Lights On Afterschool Open House  efforts actually began on October 1 when our Mayor read a proclamation designating October 18 at Lights On After School Day in Belle Fourche.  We recieved newspaper coverage of that event along with an article in our weekly Tuesday paper explaining Lights On and a little about our program.  That day's paper also featured a 1/4 page ad that listed every business in town that has employees there during afterschool hours because our lights are on.

Tonite we had our open house during program hours.  We hosted families, teachers, grandparents, Board and City Council members.  The children led tours which included, snack choices, then decorating a cookie, 3 Lights On art projects to pick from and then a tour of our main class room.
